Animal First LOOK: Rashmika Mandanna Is All Set To Welcome You As Geetanjali! (View Post)

Rashmika Mandanna, dubbed the "national crush," is ready to share the screen for the first time with Ranbir Kapoor in the upcoming film ‘Animal’, directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga of ‘Kabir Singh’ fame. While her admirers waited for an update on her role in the picture, the producers delighted them with her first glimpse from ‘Animal’.

T-Series took to social media on Saturday morning to provide the first look at Rashmika from ‘Animal’.

In the film, they also introduced the actress as 'Geetanjali'.

Rashmika is seen in the new poster wearing a red and white checkered saree with minimum makeup and unkempt hair.

"Rashmika as Geetanjali," they said in the caption.

The film's plot has been kept secret by the filmmakers. During the filming, though, a couple of images of Rashmika and Ranbir went viral on the internet.

According to rumours, the two would portray lovers in the film. Rashmika and Ranbir both travelled to Manali last year to film a large portion of the film.

About ‘Animal’:

Meanwhile, ‘Animal’ was originally scheduled to hit theatres on August 11. However, due to technical difficulties, the film's release date has been pushed back to December 1.

Ranbir will play a previously unseen character in the film. In the initial poster for ‘Animal’, the actor was depicted with a big beard, a murderous grimace, and a bloodied weapon in his hand.

‘Animal’ also stars Anil Kapoor, who will play Ranbir's father. Makers revealed his first peek on Friday, and he looked every bit as terrifying on the poster.
