Vidya Balan is an Indian actress who is primarily known for revolutionary changes in the depiction of females in Hindi movies with her roles in female-led films. She aspired to a career in film at a young age and had her first role in 'Hum Paanch.'. She has received several awards, such as National Film Award and seven Filmfare Awards. The Government of India awarded her the Padma Shri in 2014.
