Actress Mrunal Thakur is enjoying the success of her film, Sita Raman, which was released last year. There is a buzz that the actress will have a cameo in Akshay Kumar's film, Selfiee. Whereas Actor Akshay Kumar plays the role of action hero Vijay in the Raj Mehta directorial venture film. There is news about actress Mrunal Thakur who will essay the role of an actress who is shooting a film with him.

The reports suggest that "In Selfiee, Emraan plays a die-hard fan of Vijay and takes his son along to watch his latest release. This is where Mrunal makes a cameo as Vijay's co-star. She features in a fast-paced dance number, as well as a high-octane action sequence."

As per the reports, she readily agreed to the special appearance for two reasons. She loved the meta reference in the comedy-drama that sees both Kumar and her play actors. The source also mentioned, "Moreover, she shares a good equation with producer Karan Johar, having featured in his segment in the anthology Ghost Stories [2020]. She rehearsed for a few days before filming the peppy dance number with Akshay last December."

Selfiee is a forthcoming Indian Hindi-language comedy-drama film directed by Raj Mehta. It is a remake of the 2019 Malayalam film Driving Licence. Produced by Dharma Productions, Prithviraj Productions, Magic Frames, and Cape of Good Films. The film stars Akshay Kumar and Emraan Hashmi alongside Nushrratt Bharuccha and Diana Penty. It is scheduled to be theatrically released on 24 February 2023.
