Double XL: Sonakshi Sinha and Huma Qureshi hilariously discuss people’s opinions on plus-size women in the film’s teaser

We have a fresh new on-screen friendship duo who are here to win hearts and it is none other than Huma Qureshi and Sonakshi Sinha. The teaser for their upcoming comedy film which is also focused on a serious issue has been finally released. Both the actresses guarantee the audience a fun ride as they portray two plus-sized women in the film’s teaser.

Double XL featuring Sonakshi Sinha, Huma Qureshi, and Zaheer Iqbal will hit the screens on October 14

The makers shared the short teaser on their social media handle and wrote, “A glimpse of #DoubleXL fun, that is set to come your way! A story of friendship and dreams filled with masti is coming in cinemas near you on 14th Oct 2022. #DoubleXL #baatmeinWAZANhai.” The teaser begins with Sonakshi and Huma conversing about the social expectations of beauty while seated on a bench. While Sonakshi is shown explaining the aesthetic standards set by society, Huma, who is wearing a lavender colour coordinated outfit, is heard noting that being overweight is always evident.

In addition to Sonakshi and Huma, Zaheer Iqbal and Mahat Raghavendra also appear in the movie. The concern with weight and stereotypes of female bodies are topics covered in the movie. Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar, Vipul D Shah, Rajesh Bahl, and Ashwin Varde, Saqib Saleem, Huma Qureshi, and Mudassar Aziz are the producers of the movie.

Huma is currently basking in the success of her recently released web series Maharani 2. The actress is receiving accolades from critics and audiences for her acting. On the other hand, Sonakshi will be seen making a comeback after almost 3 years with this film. She last appeared opposite Salman Khan in the 2019 film Dabangg 3.
