Farah Khan reveals she refused to leave the house after Tees Maar Khan; says mother-in-law encouraged her
Following the negative reviews of her film Tees Maar Khan, Farah Khan stated that she didn't want to leave her house.
Filmmaker and choreographer Farah Khan has completed thirty years in the entertainment industry. She acknowledges that the path wasn't simple for her, but she is 'grateful' for the chances she has been given.
Farah Khan began her career as a background dancer and assistant. She became a director with Main Hoon Na (2004) after having dozens of hit songs that made every leading actor dance to her music. She joined the list of successful directors with her subsequent film, Om Shanti Om (2007). However, Tees Maar Khan (2010), her third film, flopped financially at the box office.
In an interview, Farah discussed the impact the failure of Tees Maar Khan had on her. She said, “I still recall how Tees Maar Khan was ripped apart and though people said a lot of things about it, the film made money. After Tees Maar Khan, I didn’t want to step out, even though I was winning an award for the choreography of Sheila Ki Jawani. My mother-in-law encouraged me to go for it. So, through time and the ups and downs, I grew older and wiser, and had kids.”
On the work front, Farah Khan was last seen as a judge in Dance Deewane juniors.
