Following Annu Kapoor, Hansal Mehta reveals that he was robbed in France as well
Filmmaker Hansal Mehta recalled a similar experience from one of his French vacations after actor Annu Kapoor said he had been robbed in France.

Veteran actor Annu Kapoor recently uploaded a video in which he admitted that he was robbed while visiting France. In no time, his video went viral online. Following him, filmmaker Hansal Mehta told his own story and said that he had encountered a similar situation in France.
Hansal shared his experience on Twitter. He claimed in his tweets that he had no money while he was with his daughters. The Scam 1992 (2020) director tweeted, "Saw a video of Annu Kapoor sir who was looted in France of his valuables and belongings. Had a similar experience at the Louvre museum where my wallet was picked and I was literally stranded without cash, debit or credit cards. More than anything else you feel terribly violated."

He further added, "Had my little daughters with me and had to frantically call my wife to either fetch us as we had no means to pay for our trip back to our hotel. Rest of the trip, a family vacation was ruined because of the anxiety and inconvenience caused by this theft. The cards were blocked and totally worthless/useless to the thief. There was hardly any cash. Moral of the story: When in France beware of being robbed like this. India is often unnecessarily maligned."
In terms of work, Hansal Mehta is directing the second season of the Scam series, which focuses on Abdul Karim Telgi, the mastermind of the stamp-paper scam.
