Both Dimple Kapadia and her sister Simple Kapadia tried their luck in Bollywood, but although Dimple Kapadia rose to fame and is still active in the industry, Simple Kapadia passed away at a very young age.

The marriage between Dimple Kapadia and Rajesh Khanna, the era's biggest celebrity, did not survive long. Rajesh Khanna and Dimple Kapadia divorced in 1982, nine years after their marriage. However, Simple Kapadia's acting career stalled once she began working with Rajesh Khanna on Anurodh in 1977.

After becoming a fashion designer, Simple Kapadia passed away from cancer after receiving a cancer diagnosis. Simple Kapadia passed away in 2009 after a protracted cancer fight. Karan Kapadia, her son, is the sole heir.

On the work front, Dimple Kapadia most recently appeared in the Shah Rukh Khan-led film ‘Pathaan’, in which she portrayed a spy. In the movie, ‘Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar’, Dimple Kapadia also portrayed Ranbir Kapoor's mother.

Dimple Kapadia tied the knot with Rajesh Khanna, a legendary actor of the time, but their marriage did not survive long as they divorced after nine years.
