Happy Birthday Govinda, King of Expression! Let’s recall 10 of his super-hit Bollywood movies!

One of the greatest comedy actors in Indian cinema is Bollywood star, Govinda. He was at the height of his career in the 1990s and 2000s and produced several timeless, superhit comedies for which he received a great deal of praise. Today (December 21), Govinda turns a year older. In honor of this, let's look at some of his funniest comedies.

Govinda's stardom was elevated by the hugely popular comedy movie. The 1998 film, directed by Harmesh Malhotra and starring Kader Khan and Raveena Tandon, is still regarded as one of the best comedies ever made in Indian cinema. It's entertaining to see Kadar Khan and Govinda wrestle.

Kader Khan, Paresh Rawal, and Karisma Kapoor also played the key characters in David Dhawan's romantic comedy, which was a great smash. The movie's narrative was based on the age-old tenet of doing whatever it takes to win the love of your life. Govinda's acting in the movie earned a lot of praise.

The movie, which was released in 1998, starred Govinda and Amitabh Bachchan in separate roles as cops and robbers. Their riveting performances turned the movie into a smash sensation. The David Dhawan-directed movie featured everything you needed to laugh, including brutal action scenes and witty dialogue from Govinda and Amitabh.

Sanjay Dutt, Karisma Kapoor, Anupam Kher, Kader Khan, and Pooja Batra were also included in the key parts of this David Dhawan and Govinda blockbuster hit. One of the best movies to brighten your mood and make you laugh is the lighthearted comedy.

Govinda played more than five characters in the romantic comedy, which enthralled the audience. Although the comedic aspect was added to the movie for only a few minutes, it ended up being one of the most memorable and funny scenes of his career. The movie, directed by Manoj Agarwal, also starred Johnny Lever and Rani Mukerji in the key parts.

Bhaagam Bhaag, directed by Priyadarshan, is one of the funniest movies ever produced in Indian cinema. In addition to Paresh Rawal and Akshay Kumar, who played the key parts, the thriller comedy gained acclaim from the public for its humorous dialogue.

The audience praised Govinda's performance and his on-screen friendship with Salman Khan, and the romantic comedy movie was hailed as a smash hit. With its odd dialogue and humorous scenarios, it is a perfect family entertainer. Lara Dutta and Katrina Kaif also played key roles in the David Dhawan-directed movie.

The movie, directed by Harmesh Malhotra, was released in 2002, and it got its name from a song from Govinda's hugely successful movie "Dulhe Raja." The movie is a comprehensive family entertainment that received praise from both the public and the critics. The moments in the movie were made funnier by Govinda's amusing accent as he tried to impress Kader Khan.

Of all the "No. 1" movies that Govinda made over his career, "Coolie No. 1" is still by far the funniest of all. In addition to Kader Khan, Karisma Kapoor, and Shakti Kapoor playing prominent parts, David Dhawan also helmed the movie. With actors Varun Dhawan and Sara Ali Khan playing the key roles, the movie was remade in 2020 and debuted on the OTT service Amazon Prime Video.

The audience adored Govinda and Sanjay Dutt's incredible on-screen chemistry as Jai Paaji and Veeru Paaji, and the film became another big success. The 2001 movie, which also starred Monica Bedi, Anupam Kher, and Twinkle Khanna, was released.
