Ishq Vishk actress Shenaz Treasury says she’s diagnosed with prosopagnosia

Ishq Vishk (2003) fame Shenaz Treasury might be away from the limelight but has a strong hold over social media. The actor-turned-vlogger always keeps her fans glued to her social media handle with her gorgeous pictures. The actress disclosed on Tuesday that she is unable to recognise faces due to an unknown condition. It is a neurological disorder called prosopagnosia that causes the inability to recognise faces.

Taking to her Instagram stories, Shenaz shared a series of pictures explaining the meaning of the disorder. She added the caption, "Yes, I have been diagnosed with prosopagnosia. Now I understand why I have never been able to put faces together. It's a cognitive disorder. I always feel ashamed. I cannot recognize faces. I recognize- Voices."

"Yes, that is me! Takes me a minute to register who the person is, sometimes even a close friend I haven't seen in a while," she wrote further.

She further pleaded with her followers and fans to have compassion, understand that she is not aloof or snobbish, and realise that she has a condition. She concluded by writing, "I have always felt so ashamed that I mix up people and can't recognize the faces of people- even close friends if I see them after a few years- I can't recognize them."

In the 2001 Telugu film Eduruleni Manishi, Shenaz Treasury made her acting debut. With the release of her 2003 Bollywood flick Ishq Vishk, she attracted enormous recognition.
