The much-anticipated trailer for Ranveer Singh's next flick Jayeshbhai Jordaar has been finally unveiled by the filmmakers on Tuesday. The lead actor went live on Instagram from the trailer premiere ceremony in Mumbai. Soon after, he took to social media to announce the release of the film's trailer, in which he will once again portray the character of a Gujarati youngster.
The film's trailer begins with Ranveer Singh as Jayeshbhai, the son of a ruthless Sarpanch. He leads the audience through his family's traditional mindset, which expects a male to be their successor. When Jayeshbhai finds he'll be having another girl child, he flees with his wife and daughter to save his child. The trailer for the film is a rollercoaster of emotions and laughter, making it a family-friendly film. Arjun Reddy (2017) fame actress Shalini Pandey plays Ranveer’s wife in the film.
Ranveer Singh, speaking about his character, claimed that a character like Jayeshbhai has never been seen before. "He is not your typical hero. He discovers heroism when he is pushed to the brink and he is, according to me, one of the most lovable heroes in the history of Hindi cinema." Ranveer further says, "Hopefully, Jayeshbhai will change the definition of heroism on screen and hopefully leave an important message to people in the most entertaining and hilarious fashion. Jayeshbhai Jordaar is undoubtedly a film with the biggest heart in my body of work."
Divyang Thakkar wrote and directed Jayeshbhai Jordaar, a social comedy-drama. The film also stars Boman Irani, Ratna Pathak Shah, and Deeksha Joshi. The COVID-19 outbreak caused havoc on the long-delayed project. It will be released on May 13, 2022, under the banner Yash Raj Films, with Aditya Chopra and Maneesh Sharma producing it.
