Meezaan Jafri to star in Milap Zaveri’s next

According to reports, Meezaan Jafri has been cast to star in filmmaker Milap Zaveri’s next directorial venture. Jafri, who made his acting debut with Sanjay Leela Bhansali Productions’ Malaal (2019), was last seen in Priyadarshan’s Hungama 2 (2021), co-starring Pranitha Subhas, Shilpa Shetty, and Paresh Rawal.

Zaveri, who has previously directed Satyameva Jayate (2018), Marjawaan (2019), and Satyameva Jayate 2 (2021) for Nikkhil Advani’s Emmay Entertainment, is expected to once again collaborate with the filmmaker for a yet-to-be-titled romantic comedy. Jafri has been signed on to play the male lead.

Confirming the same, a source in the know informs a leading publication, “Meezan is really excited to team up with the hit jodi of Milap Zaveri and Nikhil Advani. He loved the script and he will be seen in a never-before-seen avatar. The deal is almost locked and the team will be making an official announcement soon.”

While Jafri is onboard to play the male lead, the makers are yet to finalise the female lead opposite him. More details on the forthcoming project are expected to arrive soon.
