Rajkummar Rao opens up about the sindoor ceremony at his wedding; here’s what he REVEALED!

Patralekhaa and Rajkummar Rao have been wed for a year. Over ten years had passed since the two started dating. On November 16, the couple exchanged vows in Chandigarh during a small ceremony.
Even though the wedding ceremony itself was gorgeous and heartfelt, the sindoor moment was what everyone was talking about. Patralekhaa also filled his maang (hair parting) with vermillion before Rajkummar applied sindoor to him. Speaking about the endearing and memorable act, Rajkummar claimed that it was his idea to carry it out.

In a recent appearance on a show, “I felt why should I only do it to her, unhe bhi lagana chahiye mereko (she should also put on me),” the actor noted. He revealed during the conversation that his performances in Monica O My Darling and Badhaai Do had received a lot of positive feedback.
“Many people have benefited from Badhaai Do. I hold it extremely dearly. Since so many members of the community—boys and girls who were secretly gay or lesbian but lacked the courage to come out to their loved ones—send messages saying they took their parents to the movie, this is not unusual. They came out to them as soon as it was over, and the families accepted," the actor stated with a smile.
RAJKUMMAR RAO ON THE WORK FRONT
The popular Ayushmann Khurrana movie Badhaai Ho had a sequel, titled Badhaai Do. Rajkummar Rao was most recently seen in the critically acclaimed Netflix film Monica O My Darling. Bheed and Mr. and Mrs. Mahi are the other films in his kitty.
