Rakul Preet Singh & Bhumi Pednekar to romance Arjun Kapoor in Meri Patni Ka Remake?

A couple of days ago, we informed our readers that Arjun Kapoor is set to team up with filmmaker Aziz Mudassar for his next directorial venture, quirkily titled Meri Patni Ka Remake. Fresh reports suggest that the makers are about to lock two female leads for the upcoming venture.

As per reports, Rakul Preet Singh and Bhumi Pednekar are favourite to land the leading roles in the comic-caper. The makers have initiated talks with them.

Spilling more beans, a source close to the development informs an entertainment portal, “Even the title suggests that the script revolves around not one but two female protagonists. After contemplating on various names, the team has initiated conversations with Rakul Preet Singh and Bhumi Pednekar to step in to play two of the most important characters of the film. The humour of the Meri Patni Ka Remake is very much like Govinda films from the 90s.”

Not much else is known about the forthcoming film at the moment, but if all goes well, the team is planning to take it to the shooting floor this summer. More details are expected to be out soon, so stay tuned.
