Sanjay Dutt to play Aruna Irani’s son again after 41 years

Superstar Sanjay Dutt made his acting debut with the 1981 film Rocky, directed by his legendary father Sunil Dutt. The film was an instant success at the box-office. Veteran actress Aruna Irani, known for delivering memorable performances in a number of films over decades, played his on-screen mother in Rocky.

Now, Dutt and Irani are set to reunite again after a massive gap of 41 years. Interestingly, they will once again play a son-mother duo in an upcoming film, titled Ghudchachi. Yes, you read that absolutely right!

Directed by Binoy Gandhi and produced by Bhushan Kumar under the banner of T-Series Films, the forthcoming film is reportedly a family drama. It goes on floors today on 7th February in Jaipur. In addition to Dutt and Irani, the film also stars television heartthrob Parth Samthaan in the lead role.

Irani confirmed the news. The veteran actress was last seen in Priyadarshan’s 2010 film Khatta Meetha. She will make her comeback to films after a huge gap of 12 years. She has been part of several shows on TV over these years.
