Tabu shares an anecdote about her next film Khufiya with Vishal Bhardwaj; calls it a passion project
Tabu will next be seen in Vishal Bhardwaj’s Khufiya after successful and acclaimed movies such as Maqbool and Haider.

Tabu is currently soaring high with the success of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2. The stunning actress is all set to impress audiences again with her next project Khufiya which is helmed by ace director Vishal Bhardwaj. Bankrolled by Netflix, the film is based on the popular espionage novel ‘Escape to Nowhere' by Amar Bhushan. Inspired by true events Khufiya will have Vishal's signature direction.
While talking about the film, Tabu said, “It has turned out really well. It’s thrilling, but different, like a classic Vishal film with his signature touch. We also have a fantastic ensemble cast, and it was so much fun collaborating with them. It is a personal film for all of us because we shot it quietly in Delhi, then in Canada. It’s a world that will, hopefully, pull you in.”
Further, she added, “Khufiya is a passion project of Bhardwaj and it was conceptualized long ago but only went on floors last year due to Covid-19 pandemic. It’s the world of intelligence, agents, espionage but not like a regular spy thriller that you’ve seen”.
Khufiya also stars Ali Fazal, Wamiqa Gabbi, and Ashish Vidyarthi. Apart from Khufiya, Tabu also has Kuttey next in the pipeline which is directed by the filmmaker’s son, Aasmaan Bhardwaj.
For the unversed, Kuttey will be Aasmaan's directorial debut, also featuring Naseeruddin Shah, Arjun Kapoor, Konkona Sen Sharma, Radhika Madan, Kumud Mishra, and Shardul Bhardwaj.
