'The Kerala Story's producer, Vipul Amrutlal Shah, reportedly enhanced security after receiving bomb threats. He reportedly received a letter informing about the bomb threats as an attachment from the theatre owner in Mauritius.
The letter reads, "Sir / Madam: Mcine will be destroyed tomorrow as we are planting some bombs in your bloody cinema, you want to see cinema, oK tomorrow you will see a very good cinema. Mark our words, Tomorrow Friday. Planting Bombs for 'The Kerala Story' in Mcine".
'The Kerala Story' has garnered a positive reception at the box office, which has delighted Adah Sharma and her team. The movie easily passed the Rs 200 crore mark. 'The Kerala Story' had a fantastic run at the box office for more than three weeks, which got people talking about the movie. In various interviews, Adah Sharm, Sudipto Sen, and Vipul Amrutlal Shah discussed how the movie is not anti-religion but rather anti-terrorism.

Adah Sharma's mobile number recently made headlines as well Due to 'The Kerala Story.' Her phone number was posted by a page on Instagram. she said, "I feel just like any other girl would feel with her number being leaked out with morphed images. It shows the perverse mentality of the person who would stoop so low and get joy doing this. It reminds me of a scene in The Kerala Story where a girl is bullied by publicly publishing her number."
