The Kerala Story: The Movie Gets BANNED In West Bengal; Here’s How Producer Vipul Shah Reacted

Adah Sharma, Sonia Balani, Yogita Bihani, and Siddhi Idnani's film ‘The Kerala Story’ has encountered yet another challenge. West Bengal has outlawed the movie, despite the fact that it is still making money. You did read that correctly. Mamta Banerjee, the chief minister of West Bengal, demanded a ban on the Vipul Amrutlal Shah-produced movie starring Sudipto Sen. The state secretary has received a notice from the CM requesting that the movie be taken down from the screens as soon as feasible.

Since the release of the trailer, ‘The Kerala Story’ has made waves in the entertainment news for all the controversy it has courted. The prohibition is in effect, and any cinema theatre that violates it will face harsh punishment, a bureaucrat informed a news agency. Mamta Banerjee, the chief minister of West Bengal, has referred to ‘The Kerala Story’ as a twisted film that seeks to malign the southern state. Since the film was approved by the Supreme Court and the CBFC, the ban has come as quite a shock. In order to "avoid any incident of hatred and violence and also to maintain peace in the state," the CM states that The Kerala Story has been banned.

‘The Kerala Story’, starring Adah Sharma, Yogita Bihani, Sonia Balani, and Siddhi Idnani, was produced by Vipul Amrutlal Shah. After its initial release, the film was earlier taken out of Tamil Nadu's movie theatres. And now that West Bengal has made a similar request for a ban, the producer-director has responded in kind. How can Vipul guess what the politicians are thinking, he wonders. He continues by saying that the government body needs to explain its decision to ban a movie if the Supreme Court has approved it. He continues by saying that he has requested his pals to stay out of the ongoing disputes since, as things stand, Bollywood has become a "problem" for some individuals.

He recalls that despite being asked by Vidyut Jamwal not to, the actor shared the trailer and received both hate and support. According to Vipul, the critics are being refuted by the audience itself, which suggests how well The Kerala Story is performing commercially. According to the reports, the producer has stated that they will take the required legal measures if the film's showings are halted. "If that is what she has done, we will take legal action. Whatever is possible under the provisions of law, we will fight," he told the media.
