Tiku Weds Sheru 'almost ready', says Kangana Ranaut

Kangana Ranaut's maiden production venture Tiku Weds Sheru is almost complete. This was informed by the Queen (2014) actress herself through an Instagram story.

Kangana took to Instagram to share a pic on her IG story, which read: "#tikuwedssheru Almost ready ???? @nawazuddin._siddiqui @avneetkaur_13 @donfernandodp @manikarnikafilms @aksht_ranaut"

For starters, Tiku Weds Sheru is an upcoming romantic drama and a dark satire film. It is produced by Kangana Ranaut, written and directed by Sai Kabir under the banner of Manikarnika Films.

Tiku Weds Sheru stars Avneet Kaur and Nawazuddin Siddiqui in lead roles. The film is Kangana's maiden production after the launch of her production house in 2020.

Initially, Kangana Ranaut wanted to make Tiku Weds Sheru with Irrfan Khan. However, after his demise, she decided to cast Nawazuddin Siddiqui for the role of Sheru aka Shiraz Khan Afghani and Avneet Kaur as Tiku aka Tasleem Khan.

Shot extensively in Mumbai and Bhopal, filming of Tiku Weds Sheru wrapped up on 1 February 2022.

The film is scheduled to premiere on Amazon Prime Video.
