Dhawan family has a new member in the house. Varun Dhawan’s elder brother, Rohit Dhawan and his wife Jaanvi have welcomed a baby boy. The couple has two children together. In February 2018, Rohit, a filmmaker, married Jaanvi in a private ceremony in Goa. The couple had their first child the same year.

The news broke as proud father Rohit was photographed outside the hospital with David Dhawan on their way to the car. Rohit was photographed wearing a blue shirt, shorts, and a cap. As paparazzi congratulated the new father on the birth of his second child, he responded with a simple 'Thank You.'

Varun's wife Natasha Dalal hosted a baby shower for Jaanvi earlier this year, and the mother-to-be was dressed in a printed flowery gown. Anshula Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor's sister, was also invited during the baby shower.

Rohit directed his first film, Desi Boyz (2011), which starred Akshay Kumar, John Abraham, Deepika Padukone, and Chitrangada Singh in the key roles, as well as Sanjay Dutt in a cameo role. This film earned mixed reviews from reviewers and was rated as an average box office success. Dishoom, his second film, was released in 2016. On November 4th, 2022, his upcoming film Shehzada, starring Kartik Aaryan, Kriti Sanon, Paresh Rawal, and Manisha Koirala, will be released.

Before tying the knot in February 2012 in Goa, Rohit Dhawan and Jaanvi Dhawan dated for seven years. Many celebrities attended their wedding, including Ranbir Kapoor, Amisha Patel, Rishi Kapoor, Sonam Kapoor, Govinda, and others. Niyara, the couple's first child, was born in 2018.
