Vikrant Massey reveals he landed his first role outside a washroom in Mumbai: They said I will get paid ₹6000 per episode

Vikrant Massey is one of the most underrated but talented actors in the industry. He made his Bollywood debut in 2013 with the film Lootera and went on to bag a number of projects thereafter, including Dil Dhadakne Do (2015), Half Girlfriend (2017), Haseen Dilruba (2021), Love Hostel (2022), and many others.
Before breaking into the film industry, Massey appeared in a number of TV shows like Dharam Veer (2008), Balika Vadhu (2008), Dhoom Machao Dhoom (2007), and others. Now, in a recent interview, the actor revealed that he landed his first acting role while waiting outside a washroom in Mumbai.
Vikrant Massey remembered being asked for a show while waiting in line for the washroom at a restaurant in Mumbai. He revealed, “I was standing in the queue of the washroom and this woman approached me. She asked, ‘Will you act?'”
Massey continued, “I spoke to them and they asked me to come to their office. When I went, they said I will get paid ₹6000 per episode, and I will shoot 4 episodes in a month so I immediately calculated ₹24,000. I said alright. I always wanted to be an actor. It wasn’t like I heard about the money and jumped at it. I thought I might as well learn on the job.”
On the work front, Vikrant Massey will next be seen alongside Vijay Sethupathi in Mumbaikar. He will also be seen in Forensic: The Truth Lies Within alongside Radhika Apte and Prachi Desai.
