Following actor Richa Chadha's tweet that "Galwan says hi," director Vivek Agnihotri responded aggressively. Vivek tweeted on Friday,"Bollywoodiyas are the first to stand up against establishment, oppression and authority. They are also the first to kneel down in front of Bollywood’s corrupt establishment. But they have cheeks to question our great Army."

After his tweet, a Twitter user said, "I thought you too make films for Bollywood." Vivek responded, "NO. I DON’T. I am an independent filmmaker.”

Richa Chadha’s Tweet

Richa Chadha recently tweeted, “Galwan says hi”, as a response to Lt. Gen. Upendra Dwivedi, the commander of the Northern Army, claimed that the Indian Army is "waiting for orders from the government (sic)" to retake Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK).

Her tweet was criticised by many Bollywood stars, including Anupam Kher, Akshay Kumar, and Kay Kay Menon.

Anupam Kher also reacted and tweeted that read, “Desh ki burai karke kuch logon ke beech lokpriya hone ki koshi karna kayar aur chote logon ka kaam hai. And putting the honour of the army at stake... what can be more shameful than this).”

Akshay Kumar also tweeted, "Hurts to see this. Nothing ever should make us ungrateful towards our armed forces. Woh hain toh aaj hum hain (they are there so we exist)." Kay Kay Menon had also tweeted, "Our brave men and women in uniform, put their life on the line to keep every citizen of our Nation safe & secure! Richa Chadha apologises

Richa Chadha apologised and stated that she didn't want to insult the Indian Army. In part, she stated in a tweet: "Even though it can never be my intention in the least, if the 3 words which are being dragged into a controversy have offended or hurt anyone, I apologise and also say that it would sadden me if even unintentionally my words have triggered this feeling in my brothers in the Fauj (army) of which my own Nanaji has been an illustrious part."
