Box-office Report: Lipstick Under My Burkha exceeds expectations!

Alankrita Srivastava’s latest film Lipstick Under My Burkha is running strong at the box-office front. The film that witnessed several roadblocks before its release is now enjoying a good run at the ticket window. The audience have accepted and loved the film while the critics have rendered it rave reviews as well. The film has opened only in 400 screens across the country in selected theatres.
The film raked in of Rs. 1.22 crores on its opening Friday, it further brought in Rs. 2.17 crores on Saturday and Rs. 2.41 crores on Sunday. The film passed the crucial Monday test as it collected Rs. 1.28 crores on Monday and Rs. 1.36 crores on Tuesday also, Rs. 1.27 crores on Wednesday. Hence, the total collection stands at Rs. 9.71 crores at the domestic front. The film has a positive word of mouth which is translating into box-office numbers.
Lipstick Under My Burkha stars actors Ratna Pathak , Konkona Sen Sharma , Aahana Kumra , Plabita Borthakur and Vikrant Massey in key roles. It has been produced by Prakash Jha Productions and distributed by Ekta Kapoor.
