After Aamir Khan, superstar Salman Khan is ruling the Chinese movie markets. His first ever film, Bajrangi Bhaijaan released in China this Friday and doing a healthy business there. Unlike Aamir, Salman is not a known face in the neighbouring country and still, his film has managed to mint huge figures at the box office. BB, which was already a blockbuster in India, witnessed a great start in China as well. After the first weekend, the film grabbed pace and pocketed Rs. 55.22 crores. On the first day, it collected $ 2.25 million, then $ 3.11 million on Saturday and yesterday, it earned $ 3.13 million, taking the grand total to $ 8.49 million.
Released in more than 8000 screens, BB got 17000 shows in China and turned out to be the second highest grosser Indian film on day 1. But collection wise, the movie slowed down as compared with Dangal and Secret Superstar. In the end, Dangal stopped at close to Rs 1,850 crore while Secret Superstar registered Rs 760 crore in China.
Will Salman Khan’s film be able to beat any of these films?
