KGF 2, starring Yash, takes the sixth rank of the highest-grossing movie on the first Monday

Prashanth Neel's KGF: Chapter 2 starring Yash, Sanjay Dutt, and Raveena Tandon had an outstanding Monday hold, topping the list of highest first Monday grosses in Hindi on a non-holiday. KGF: Chapter 2 formed a stronghold theatrically with Rs. 25 cr net Monday, where it has all the chances to topple all-time life-long records in the Hindi circuit or at least looking for the top two spots.

There have been five films that have had an elevated Monday than KGF: Chapter 2, but the catch is that all of the movies had a holiday on Monday to help their numbers, whereas KGF: Chapter 2 did not. Not only that but KGF: Chapter 2 was released during Ramadan, which is considered a less profitable time for films. Both RRR and KGF: Chapter 2 debunked the myth that films don't perform well in the run-up to Eid.

1. Baahubali: The Conclusion - 39.80 cr (Partial Holiday)

2. Tiger Zinda Hai - 36.50 cr (Holiday)

3. Houseful 4 - 34.10 cr (Holiday)

4. Krrish 3 - 29.64 cr (Holiday)

5. Bajrangi Bhaijaan - 26.75 crore (Holiday)

6. KGF: Chapter 2 – 25 cr

7. Dangal - 24.95 cr

8. Sanju - 24.65 cr

9. Simmba - 21.20 cr

10. PK - 21.15 cr
