Mrs. Chatterjee vs. Norway’ by Rani Mukerji is based on the true account of Sagarika Bhattacharya, whose children were abducted by the Norwegian government. It demonstrates how hard she fought to maintain their custody. On March 17, the movie was released in theatres. The Ashima Chibber-directed movie's opening weekend box office numbers weren't very strong. Barely 6 crore rupees were made.

Trade sources state that on Day 1, Mrs. Chatterjee Vs. Norway earned Rs. 1.27 crore. The movie brought in Rs 2.50 crore on Day 2, bringing its total to Rs 3.77 crore. Day 3, March 19, saw an increase of Rs 3 crore in sales. As a result, the total domestic box office amount is currently Rs 6.73 crore. On Sunday, March 19, Mrs. Chatterjee Vs. Norway had a 24.43 percent overall Hindi occupancy.

In the heartbreaking drama ‘Mrs. Chatterjee vs. Norway’, a woman engages in a legal battle with a whole country to obtain custody of her children. Anirban Bhattacharya and Jim Sarbh are also featured in the movie's cast. Ashima Chibber was the director, and on March 17 it was made available in theatres. The Journey of a Mother, written by Sagarika Chakraborty, is the basis for the movie. In 2011, the Norwegian childcare system (Barnevernet) removed their children from them. The story is based on Chakraborty's autobiography of that experience.
