Dangal becomes the 1st Indian film to gross over 200 crores in China!

Aamir Khan ’s last release Dangal created a range in India and it garnered huge appreciation. It was a blockbuster hit in the country and now is taking the Chinese market by storm. Dangal opened in China with the name “Shuai Jiao Baba” (Let’s Wrestle, Dad) in around 7000 screens. The film is very well accepted by the Chinese audience and is appreciated for its message. The film pushed aside Hollywood movies and grabbed the number one position at the China Box-office. 

The film collected Rs. 213.43 crores within two weeks in China which is a historic figure. Aamir Khan ’s last film PK crossed 100 crores in China at the box-office and now, Aamir’s Dangal broke its record.

Directed by Nitesh Tiwari , Dangal is a wrestling drama based on the life of Indian wrestler Mahavir Phogat and his wrestler daughters Geeta and Babita Phogat. Aamir plays the wrestler dad in the film while his daughter’s roles have been essayed by debutants Fatima Sana Shaikh and Sanya Malhotra. The film also stars Sakshi Tanvar, Zaira Wasim and Suhani Bhatnagar in key roles.
