Dangal Becomes The 2nd Indian Film After Baahubali 2 To Gross 1000 Crores Worldwide!

Aamir Khan’s Dangal managed to achieve the Baahubali 2 feat, grossed 1000 crores at the worldwide market.

The world witnessed when Baahubali 2: The Conclusion achieved the feat of becoming the first Indian film to gross 1000 crores at a global scale. Now, just when trade experts where analyzing Baabhubali 2’s super success, another Indian film which is Aamir Khan ’s Dangal grossed 1000 crores at the worldwide market. This makes Dangal the second Indian film and first Bollywood film to own the title.

Aamir Khan ’s Dangal collected Rs. 208.84 crores in its second weekend in China. And, its 10 days total stands at $ 59.74 million i.e. Rs. 382.69 crores, which is huge. Dangal broke the record of PK and became the highest grossing Indian film in China. Hence, Dangal ’s overall total collection is Rs. 1127.34 crores worldwide. The concept of the movie was very well appreciated by the Chinese market. In China, the film has been titled, “Shuai Jiao Baba” (Let’s Wrestle, Dad).

Directed by Nitesh Tiwari , Dangal is a wrestling drama based on the life of Indian wrestler Mahavir Phogat and his wrestler daughters Geeta and Babita Phogat. Aamir plays the wrestler dad in the film while his daughter’s roles have been essayed by debutants Fatima Sana Shaikh and Sanya Malhotra. The film also stars Sakshi Tanvar, Zaira Wasim and Suhani Bhatnagar in key roles.
