First Day Box Office Collection of '2 States'

Abhishek Varman's much-talked about directorial '2 States' starring Arjun Kapoor and Alia Bhatt released on April 18. The movie was anticipated to take a great start at the box office owing to its promotions and gripping trailer. Good Friday occasion proved beneficial for the film, as it recorded the occupancy of 45-55% on its opening day morning shows, reportedly.

As per the reports, the occupancy later increased to 75-80% in multiplexes in urban regions. In metro cities, '2 States' was running housefull during evening and night shows. The film is expected to collect around 4.5 to 5 crore nett on day in Mumbai itself. Overall, '2 States' is anticipated to rake in 12.75 crore nett approximately on Friday, as per the early estimates.

By continuing such phenomenal opening, '2 States' must achieve around 35 crore nett over the first weekend of its release.
