First Day Box Office Collection of 'Shuddh Desi Romance'

Two diverse flavours of Hindi movies knocked at the box office on September 6. One is the refreshing chronicle ' Shuddh Desi Romance ' featuring Sushant Singh Rajput , Parineeti Chopra and the fresh entry Vaani Kapoor , while the other is the newbie Ram Charan Teja and Priyanka Chopra starrer ' Zanjeer ', the remake of a cult classic with the same title of the year 1973, that featured Amitabh Bachchan . Maneesh Sharma directorial ' Shuddh Desi Romance ' was expected to incur good response from the urban viewers, especially the youth. The movie holds a breezy storyline twirling around the theme of live-in relationships and it aims at presenting the mindset of today's youth towards the relationships. Set in beautiful Jaipur locales, the film illustrates a Rajasthani touch in every aspect.

As per the predictions, ' Shuddh Desi Romance ' is expected to deliver a solid punch at the box office at its opening day. Though the film released on a much smaller scale, it saw around 35% occupancy during morning shows and that indicates quite a good figure. This rom-com received mixed reviews from the critics, however it bagged whistles and claps from the audience. The film performed strongly in almost all regions on Friday and raised the expectations to score high at the box office in the first week of its release. According to the early estimates, ' Shuddh Desi Romance ' must mint around 7.75 crore nett on Friday.

The movie is anticipated to attain a better response over the weekend, being a wholesome entertainer.
