First Weekend Box Office Collection of 'Fukrey'

May 14 saw a comedy-drama releasing in Indian theatres titled 'Fukrey', staring Pulkit Samrat, Varun Sharma, Manjot Singh, Ali Fazal, Priya Anand, Richa Chadda and Vishakha Singh. Though, 'Fukrey' was well-equipped with great content, it failed to grab optimistic reviews and didn't get positive word of mouth publicity. The film witnessed restrained start at the box-office over the weekend.

Reportedly, on the first day of its release, the movie managed to collect 2.60 crore nett, while on Saturday, it garnered 3.10 crore nett. However, Sunday did not prove much lucky for 'Fukrey', as the scenario remained the same at the ticket-window just like Friday and Saturday. According to the early estimates, the movie might garner 3.75 crore nett over the weekend. Looking at the film's performance on first two days, merely 15% rise does not seem impressive at all.

Over the weekend, 'Fukrey' fetched around 9.50 crore nett and it is anticipated to accomplish 16 crore nett tentatively. It is complicated task for the film 'Fukrey' to override lifetime collection of 20 crore nett. The probable rationale behind it may be the other three to four new releases arriving in the town in the next week.
