Sooraj Barjatya arrived with his directorial ' Prem Ratan Dhan Payo ' and the film was expected to attract huge crowd due to its majestic sets, stellar star cast, the film being a Diwali release and pre-release buzz. This family entertainer is released in 4300 screens in India and 780 screens overseas. Salman Khan being the lead actor, is enough to make the film a grand success.
' Prem Ratan Dhan Payo ' performed well in Mumbai, Gujarat, CP and CI. The film was little low in west and east Punjab and in south. Talking about collection of the film, ' Prem Ratan Dhan Payo ' collected 40.35 crore nett on its opening day followed by 31.05 crore nett on second day, reportedly. On Saturday, the film garnered 30.07 crore nett and the Sunday collection of the film was 28.75 crore, thereby making the total first weekend domestic collection of 130.22 crore nett.
' Prem Ratan Dhan Payo ' harvested 25.58 crore nett at international box office and the total worldwide collection of the film till now is 155.80 crore.
