On August 2, 'The Conjuring', a supernatural American spooky Hollywood flick bumped at the big screens in India. The film featured Vera Farmiga, Patrick Wilson and Lili Taylor in prime roles. The movie was released on July 19 in US and prior to its release, the film grabbed positive reviews from the masses in US.

This sturdy thriller directed by James Van is created out of the budget of $ 20 million. It managed to cover its expenses from the first day box office collections in North America. 'The Conjuring' is said to be based on a true story happened with a family and it is not meant for weak-hearted folks. The first day box office collection of 'The Conjuring' in India is 2.63 crore nett, which can be counted as a great revenue. However, the first weekend performance of the film at the Indian box office remained unknown.

The first week box office collection of 'The Conjuring' will evaluate either the rosy or the thorny future of the film. This frightful flick was released along with one more Hollywood release titled 'The Smurfs 2'. The prominent Bollywood films released on August 2 are ' B.A. Pass ' and ' Rabba Main Kya Karoon '.
