Sonam Kapoor ’s Neerja has held its foot strong at the box-office. The movie raked in Rs. 3.70 crores on Monday and passed the crucial ‘Monday Test’, and remained steady on Tuesday by collecting Rs. 3.41 crores. The total collection stands at Rs. 29.12 crores at the domestic front. The film nears the 30 crore mark, which is great news for the makers.
The film is expected to do good business in the coming weekend as well. Ram Madhwani ’s directorial is based on a real life incident where a 23 year old air hostess Neerja Bhanot loses her life while saving the lives of the 359 passengers of a high jacked plane.
