Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar Box Office Collection Day 1: Shraddha Kapoor and Ranbir Kapoor’s Movie Makes Rs 14 Crore Nett Total on Opening Day!

The Holi release ‘Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar’ did well on its first day, with estimated receipts of about 14 crore nett. To see the movie, enormous crowds of people are filling theatres. Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor's novel chemistry in the Luv Ranjan film is a big hit with the audience. Boney Kapoor made his acting debut alongside Dimple Kapadia in the romantic comedy. Box Office India reports that ‘Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar’ had a respectable debut on March 8 and with Holi off.

Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor movie made almost Rs 14 crore in India on its first day of release. On March 8, a total of 22.42 percent of viewers in Hindi watched ‘Tu Jhoothi Main Makkar.’ According to Box Office India, "Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar has done well on day one with collections around the 14 crore nett mark. The film has been helped by Holi in many states but it has also lost some business due to Holi one day early in some states. The collections of the film would have gone towards 16 crore nett if it was a normal Holi which makes it look better on paper though it hardly makes any difference because if the audience is with the film, the shortfall is easily made up in the long run."

BOI further added, "The film has scored very well in NCR and Gujarat / Saurashtra with the latter being due to Holi which is like a national holiday in the circuit. The weak side in Maharashtra and there the film has to do better especially in Mumbai city and Pune where these types of films have more potential. The collections are also a bit low in UP but here it's a prolonged Holi period so they may well be higher tomorrow.”

About ‘Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar’

His movie, starring Shraddha and Ranbir Kapoor, is the ideal blend of comedy, romance, separation drama, and family drama. In the movie, Mickey and Tinni fall in love after meeting at the bachelor parties of their respective best friends. Ranbir Kapoor's mother is portrayed by the incomparable Dimple Kapadia. As a Punjabi mother, she also appears to have excellent comic timing. Another role that Boney Kapoor has brought to life is that of a monotonous, informal parent who spends all of his time in front of the television.
