Touted to be an action film, Vikram has successfully sailed through the first weekend at the domestic box office. The film earned over Rs. 100 crores in its first three days. On the first day, it saw a great opening of Rs. 34 crores with a great hold on Saturday and the film went higher than the opening day on Sunday and netted Rs. 101 crores.
Vikram is the fourth movie of Tollywood that collected 100 crores in just three days in India, the other three being Kabali, 2.0, and Beast. Lokesh Kanagaraj’s directorial is the highest-grossing film in the entire career of Kamal Haasan, the second one being his 2008 release Dashavataram, which grossed Rs. 85 crores.
