The number 8 is known to be Bollywood stars Ranbir Kapoor's lucky number. The number appeared on his football uniform as well as Alia Bhatt's wedding jewelry. At a news conference, the actor, who is in Dubai for the Celebrity Football Cup 2022 against Emirates United, revealed the reason behind the number. Because his mother's birthday is on July 8, and 8 is also infinity when horizontal, he confessed that he had a "weird fascination" with the number.
The Rockstar (2011) actor said, “I have some weird fascination with the number 8, because it is my mother’s birthday–8th July, and I also like the whole way the number looks, because it is the infinity sign if you look at it horizontally.”
The number 8 was also found on Alia Bhatt's mangalsutra. Alia wore an infinity sign diamond teardrop pendant on her wedding day.
Alia had even stated that her favorite number is 8 during an Instagram Ask Me Anything session. Rishi, Neetu, and Ranbir Kapoor have always believed the number '8' to be highly lucky, as per a source who spoke to a tabloid. When Ranbir bought his first jeep in the 2000s, the number plate had only one digit, 8.
Meanwhile, celebrities including Ranbir Kapoor, Kartik Aaryan, and Abhishek Bachchan flew to Dubai to compete in the Celebrity Football Cup 2022 versus Emirates United.
On the work front, Ranbir Kapoor is preparing for the release of his magnum opus, Brahmastra, alongside wife Alia Bhatt. The film also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Mouni Roy and Nagarjuna Akkineni in pivotal roles.
