Karan Johar shocked everyone when he announced that his popular chat show Koffee With Karan would not be returning for yet another season. He did, however, end the note with three dots that hinted at more to come. Fans were still left sad. However, followers discovered the true meaning of Karan's message later that day.
Koffee With Karan will not return to television, but will be streamed on popular OTT platform Disney+ Hotstar, according to the producer-director. And now, a couple of days after his statement, Karan has shared a photo of the famed Koffee With Karan mug and revealed that filming for the new season has begun.
The filmmaker and producer shared the first shot from the first day of filming on his Instagram account. He captioned it as, "Back to brewing some koffee! #KoffeeWithKaran #HotstarSpecials disneyplushotstar dharmaticent".
Season 7 of Koffee With Karan was announced in an unusual manner. Karan first stated that the show would not be returning, but later surprised everyone by stating that the show would not be returning to television but will instead be streamed on Disney+ Hotstar.
Though nothing has been confirmed, it is rumoured that Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh would be the first guests on the new season, as the two actors are starring in the filmmaker's forthcoming film, Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani.
