She received the award for her performance in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Gangubai Kathiawadi. Alia looked stunning in Tony Ward's black mermaid gown with a dash of shine. Rhea Kapoor, a stylist-producer, styled her.
Ali kept her look simple and elegant by opting for minimal accessories. She just wore a black earring and tied her hair up like a bone which gave a perfect look to her collarbone and her beautiful face.

Aside from Alia winning Best Actor, ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’ nearly swept the awards night with numerous accolades. It received Best Film and Best Director for Sanjay Leela Bhansali.
