Selena Gomez takes over SAG Awards in a stunning Oscar de la Renta velvet dress & statement pieces

Stars have begun arriving at the Barker Hanger in Santa Monica, California, for the 28th annual Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Awards, which will take place on Sunday. The SAG Awards are a platform for the year's best actors and actresses to be recognised by their peers, and the gala attracts talents from all genres of film and television. Lady Gaga, Helen Mirren, Will Smith, and Jessica Chastain, to name a few, wore some of the most stunning outfits on the red carpet but the one that captured hearts was Selena Gomez.

Selena's web show Only Murders In The Building (2021), got nominated for Best Cast in a Comedy Series, and she walked the red carpet to be part of the show.

Gomez donned a custom-made column gown by premium design firm Oscar de la Renta for her red carpet appearance. The ensemble featured a velvet gown with dramatic sleeves and a slight cut at the waist. The full-sleeved gown was floor-length and had a figure-flattering straight style. She opted for a minimal makeup look and pulled her hair back in a clean bun. A striking diamond necklace, minimalist earrings, and an emerald ring completed the actress's ensemble.

The Come And Get It (2013) singer also made headlines for attending the show barefoot because her heels made her slip. She was observed walking onto the stage without her shoes on, accompanied by Martin Short. She can be seen tripping in her black high heels in a video that has been making the rounds on the internet. After tumbling to her knees, the singer removed her shoes and walked onto the stage barefoot. Fans applauded Selena for going barefoot after seeing the clips.
