Trailer Review of The Current War: Or say Clash of Geniuses of this century!

Historic drama from Hollywood is always gem to watch and experience, as they always have something new to offer, rather than just being a documentary film. As premiered on Toronto International Film Festival on September 9, The Current War, is filled with electrifying performers like Benedict Cumberbatch, Michael Shannon and also Nicholas Hoult. Indeed it is a story of century’s most important invention, which triggered industrial revolution on steroid, but the way it is told seems worth to watch when it releases!

Whenever we hear or talk about an invention, we often see what miracle inventors managed to pull off with the help of science, but some things no one talks about is what struggles and competition it must have gone through before and even after presenting their invention to the world. So the director Alfonso Gomez-Rejon brought high-tension drama behind invention of light bulb by Thomas Edison and its competition with well-established system of electrical energy system by George Westinghouse.

The trailer gives good glimpse of the time that it would depict human drama of power (literal and metaphorical), greed, rivalry and who is the visionary to power modern world. And at midst of this clash of energy titans, there will be an entry of Nikola Tesla, which will be the game changer for both the tussle and for the plot point for the film. This high-voltage drama, pun intended, will surely teach you an untold invention story in all its glory!

The Current War also features supporting cast of Katherine Waterston, Tom Holland, Tuppence Middleton, Matthew Macfadyen, Conor MacNeill, and Damien Molony. Though the American release date for the film is 24th November this year, but Indian release date for The Current War is yet to be disclosed by Indian distributors!
