Billie Eilish expressed her stress while writing the theme song for No Time To Die
The singer is the youngest artist in history to record a theme for the 007 franchise.
The euphonious Billie Eilish has created history by recording a theme for the 007 franchise. But as they say “With great power comes great responsibility” Billie was quite pressured during the whole process.
Eilish and her brother and co-writer Finneas O'Connell discussed their work on the theme song in an interview on Deadline's Crew Call podcast via METRO, where she admitted that the major source of stress, was knowing that Daniel Craig, James Bond himself, had to approve the song before it was featured in the film. Billie said, "Daniel had to be the one to sign off on it and it’s a really big deal to him, it’s his entire last 17 years or something, and that’s a lot for him.
"It was his last film, it’s something that has taken over his life for as long as he’s done it and been incredibly important ... Of course this movie is going to be the most important because it’s the last one. The song needs to be good."
However, the song went on to reach remarkable success, earning a Grammy Award, a Golden Globe, and being nominated for an Oscar.
We are glad that Billie Eilish got to fulfill her ‘life goal’ of making a James Bond theme song for No Time to Die as it was the last movie for Daniel Craig, and it’s unknown when the next one will come or will be taking up the role of 007.
