Emmy Awards 2022: Zendaya makes history as she becomes the youngest producing nominee
Zendaya has become the youngest ever woman producing nominee as she gets nominated for two songs from Euphoria.

As Rue's path to recovery continues, Zendaya scores another significant victory. The actress's sustained portrayal of Rue Bennett on HBO's Euphoria earned her a nomination for outstanding lead actress in a drama at the 2022 Emmy Awards. Elliot's Song and I'm Tired, both from Euphoria, were two of the songs she contributed to that are nominated for outstanding original music and lyrics. The second season of the famous HBO series Euphoria got numerous nominations, with its actress Zendaya receiving three of them. The show received 16 nominations altogether, including one for Outstanding Drama Series.
Out of sheer happiness, Zendaya shared a thankful note on her Instagram along with a picture of her dressed as Rue. The Euphoria star wrote, "Making this show with this cast and crew of the most incredibly talented people that I get the privilege of learning from every day has been a highlight of my life. I'm so proud to work beside you and CONGRATULATIONS! I don't have the words to express the love and gratitude I feel right now, all I can do is say thank you with all my heart! Thanks to everyone who connected with our show, it is an honor to share it with you. Thank you samlev00 for everything you do, this show is what it is because of your heart, and thank you to labrinth marcellrev hbo a24 for being the best creative collaborators. For her portrayal of the drug-addicted girl Rue, Zendaya has already won awards. She took home the award in the same category at the 2020 Emmys, making history as the youngest actress and the second Black woman to do so.
On September 12, NBC will broadcast the 74th annual Primetime Emmy Awards.
