Hollywood films most anticipated in 2023! Ahead of the new year, are you ready? Well, the list is here for you!

Many films gained popularity in 2022, both in theatres and on streaming sites, including Top Gun: Maverick, and Avatar: The Way of Water. The Marvel Cinematic Universe and the DC Universe both had successful movie releases despite the pandemic's severe delays.

The epidemic has prompted the release of blockbusters, adaptations, and original films; these include the long-delayed Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part One, and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3. Keep an eye out for these eagerly awaited Hollywood movies in the next year.

DUNE: PART TWO

One of the most anticipated movies of 2023 is Denis Villeneuve's Dune: Part Two. Villeneuve decided to split the intricate sci-fi story into two parts because he had always planned to develop a sequel to the 2021 film Dune. The focus of the second novel is Paul Atreides, who begins a new life with the Fremen. Villeneuve's ability to bring the Dune universe to life and keep the politics and action interesting in the first film made it a success. We may expect more of both themes in Dune Part 2 as Paul (played by Timothee Chalamet) grows as a leader. In the follow-up, Chani—played by Zendaya—plays a larger part.

MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE - DEAD RECKONING PART ONE

Another highly anticipated movie of 2023 is Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part One. It was previously mentioned as one of the movies that people were most looking forward to in 2022, therefore it would be impossible to omit it from the list for 2023. In the film, which was directed by Christopher McQuarrie, who also helmed the final two instalments in the series, Tom Cruise plays IMF agent Ethan Hunt. Cruise and McQuarrie's partnership has improved the Mission: Impossible series and showcases how thrilling their chemistry is. They not only developed Ethan's character and the primary plot, but they also pulled off some incredible stunts. Due to the cliffhanger conclusion of the previous film, Mission: Impossible 8 will be released on July 14, 2023, and it will be greatly anticipated.

BARBIE

The Greta Gerwig-directed Warner Bros. movie starring Margot Robbie as Barbie would make 2023 Barbie's year. In addition to Will Ferrell, Simu Liu, Kate McKinnon, Issa Rae, and other performers playing supporting roles, Ryan Gosling plays Ken in the film. The film offers unique sets and attire and follows Barbie as she interacts with the outside world. The target date for release is July 21, 2023.

JOHN WICK: CHAPTER 4

Keanu Reeves will play John Wick again in the upcoming movie John Wick: Chapter 4, which is being made by Lionsgate and directed by Chad Stahelski. In the film, Wick continues his pursuit for vengeance, this time targeting High Table members Marquis and Caine (Bill Skarsgard) (Donnie Yen). The returning cast members are Bowery King (Laurence Fishburne), Charon (Lance Reddick), and Winston (Ian McShane). The movie, which is set for release on March 24, is expected to have some of the best action scenes of any movie coming out in 2023.

KILLERS OF THE FLOWER MOON

Martin Scorsese's upcoming movie, Killers of the Flower Moon, is scheduled for release in 2023. The film, which has been in production since 2017, is based on David Grann's novel about a murder investigation in the 1920s and stars Jesse Plemons as the lead detective. Robert De Niro, Leonardo DiCaprio, and Lily Gladstone are a few of the other actors in the cast.

ANT-MAN AND THE WASP: QUANTUMANIA

On February 17, 2023, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, the eagerly anticipated third Ant-Man film, will be released. Michelle Pfeiffer plays Janet Van Dyne in the Peyton Reed-directed movie, which also stars Evangeline Lilly as the Wasp, Michael Douglas as Hank Pym, and Paul Rudd as Ant-Man. In addition, Kathryn Newton will play Cassie Lang after Marvel's most recent casting change, while Jonathan Majors will make his feature debut as Kang the Conqueror. The story will delve more deeply into the Quantum Realm while also kicking off Phase 5 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

MAESTRO

Bradley Cooper is the director and star of the biographical film Maestro, which is about the life of famed composer Leonard Bernstein and his relationship with Felicia Montealegre. The supporting cast of the Steven Spielberg-produced movie include Carey Mulligan and Maya Hawke from Stranger Things. Maestro may earn Cooper another Best Picture Oscar nod despite not having a firm release date yet.

AQUAMAN 2: THE LOST KINGDOM

Jason Momoa returns to the role of Aquaman in Aquaman 2: The Lost Kingdom. The plot centres on Arthur Curry and Ocean Master as they form an unexpected alliance. The James Wan-directed film will also star Patrick Wilson as Ocean Master, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Black Manta, Dolph Lundgren as King Nereus, Nicole Kidman as Atlanna, and Temuera Morrison as Tom Curry. There may also be a quick cameo by Michael Keaton or Ben Affleck as Batman, while Amber Heard's Mera part may change or be dropped. Aquaman 2, the last movie made by DC's prior leadership, is slated for release on December 25, 2023.

OPPENHEIMER

The primary character in Christopher Nolan's epic thriller "Oppenheimer," which is about the creation of the first atomic bomb, is played by Cillian Murphy. Murphy plays J. Robert Oppenheimer, an American theoretical physicist who is regarded as the "father of the atomic bomb." Christopher Nolan directed and authored the film, which was based on the biography "American Prometheus: The Triumph and Tragedy of J. Robert Oppenheimer" by Kai Bird and Martin J. Sherwin. July 21, 2023 will see the release of the film.
