Joaquin Phoenix’s Joker sequel to happen real soon, reveal sources

Impressing a large number of fans, Joker (2019) emerged as one of the most popular films of that year and it is high time that all Joaquin Phoenix stans want a sequel to the blockbuster film. The Comic book has made it clear about the future of Joker 2 as Warner Bros. allegedly plans to launch the production of the sequel in the near future.
According to sources, the new CEO is insisting Phillips to start working on the next installment of the much-awaited franchise. Once Joaquin Phoenix also revealed that the conversation had come up, but nothing was yet set in stone.
"I mean, I dunno. From when we were shooting, we started to —you know, uhh, this is an interesting guy," he said.
The actor went on to add, "There are some things we could do with this guy and could [explore] further. But as to whether we actually will? I don't know.”
For the unversed, Joker made a historic moment as it won two Oscars in 2020 including Phoenix’s Best Actor honour. The film created a record of being the first comic adaptation to not only get nominated but also win in a major category.
