Actor Noah Schnapp, who portrayed a gay teenager Will Byers in the Netflix series Stranger Things, has made his real-life sexual identity public. The Stranger Things actor revealed that he is gay in a TikTok video that he released on January 5. He noted how unaffected his friends and family were when they found out about his sexuality.

Noah refers to being relatable to the character Will who is gay in his post

"I suppose I'm more like Will than I thought," the 18-year-old said in the caption of the video, referring to the character he plays on the Netflix drama Stranger Things, Will Byers, who first appeared in the show in 2016. Fans have conjectured about Will's gender identity throughout the seasons, and Noah has expressed the hope that Will will come out in the fifth and final season of the show. While Noah said he would like season five to offer a clearer dialogue where Will may communicate his genuine sentiments, fans in season four saw Will discreetly hint at his affections for his best friend Mike (Finn Wolfhard).
