The Russo Brothers take a stand for Scarlett Johansson; call out Disney for their 'disturbing' treatment of her

The famous Marvel directors Joe and Anthony Russo gave their honest opinions towards Disney’s unfair practice and took a strong stand for Marvel alum Scarlett Johansson. Scarlett sued Disney two months ago for the unversed, accusing it of breaching her contract.
The actress was promised a theatrical release of her solo movie Black Widow that would constitute her pay for the movie. But she was ditched by Disney as they decided to release it on OTT platforms as well as in cinema halls on the same day. This circumstance heavily affected the sales of tickets and eventually Johansson's pay.
During an interview, Joe was quoted saying, “We’re certainly concerned with the trend in the market that’s moving away from artists.” He further added, “So the studios are having a conservative reaction, and they’re trying to downplay their need for stars. They’re trying to force IP to be their star, and in accordance with that they’re also then trying to underpay and diminish the need for stars on their projects.”
Joe also expressed his displease over the matter and hoped for the best for their good friend. "That was really not an appropriate way for them to handle that situation. It was disturbing to us as artists. Scarlett is a good friend of ours, and we were disheartened by how it was handled. We’re glad it’s resolved."
