Raj Dixit (Ajay Devgan) who lives in middle-class downtown Mumbai along with his demented brother Rahul (Dushyant Wagh). Raj has a special bond with Rahul. He takes care of him like a mother – helping him to eat and attending to his other needs. Suman (Namrata Shirodkar) Raj's beautiful neighbor empathizes with his struggle to fend for his mentally challenged brother. She also has a soft corner for Raj. The other woman in Raj's life is Madhuri (Sonali Bendre), who hails from a respectable family. Raj loves Madhuri but cannot make a full-fledged commitment to start a new life with her because of Rahul. Nor does he wish to send Rahul to a mental asylum in spite of Madhuri's insistence.
