Veterans Amitabh Bachchan and Rishi Kapoor are collaborating after 27 long years and that too for a very special film, 102 Not Out . The two will be seen playing a father and son and the trailer of their film looks a hilarious joy ride. The shoot for the film is over but at the last moment, the team shot a new song, Badumbaa. Badumbaa has been written by Amitabh Bhattacharya and was conceptualized on the last day of the film’s shoot. Amitabh Bachchan has composed it and Rishi Kapoor turned singer for the same.

“It is a promotional song in which the actors will be seen in their screen avatars. We decided to play around with Chintuji (Rishi) and Bachchanji’s chemistry. Initially, we had thought of a medley of their past chartbusters like “Lambuji Tinguji” from Coolie and “Chal Mere Bhai” from Naseeb. But Bachchanji suggested that we make a new song and that’s how “Badumbaaa” happened,” Umesh Shukla told a leading daily.

The song has already been shot, choreographed by Ganesh Acharya . “It is done so well… the duo danced their heart out and the signature step will be remembered for a long time,” the director said.

When asked how he convinced Rishi Kapoor to sing, Umesh said, “When we asked Rishiji to sing he was initially skeptical because he hadn’t done it before. But one day, he turned up for the rehearsal and agreed to come the very next day to record it. This is also the first time that Bachchanji has composed a song.”

Based on Umesh Shukla ’s Gujarati play, the film will hit the theatres on 04th May.
