That Vishal Bhardwaj is a multi-talented man is something we all know. The director and music composer has been entertaining the audience with his films and songs for more than two decades now. After directing and composing for several films, Bhardwaj has now added a new talent to her creative repertoire. Yes, the director-composer is soon coming up with a book of his poetry. The book will hit stands very soon.
As we all know that almost all of Bhardwaj films have lyrics by seasoned writer-lyricist Gulzar. Now the question might arise in your mind that if Bhardwaj can write poetry, why doesn't he write lyrics for his films. The answer is that filmmaker takes lyrics writing and poetry writing as two different art forms.
Talking about the same, he said, "I take poetry as a different art form. I keep my poetry very pure. In fact, on December 17, my book of poems will be out. I am excited for that. I've been working on it for a long time."
The director also feels that when he started his career in Bollywood as a music composer, not many good films were being made. "They were not bright days because barring a few films in the late '90s, when I came, the standard of storytelling was poor. There were not many innovative storytellers, except for people like Gulzar saab and Ram Gopal Varma," he added.
