Aamir Khan , who is referred to as Mr. Perfectionist in the Indian cinema has become the third Bollywood actor to grace the cover page of Time magazine. Time cover features him with the caption 'Khan's Quest'.

Time magazine has referred Aamir Khan as India's 'first superstar-activist.' The blurb on the cover asks, 'He's breaking the Bollywood mould by tackling India's social evils. Can one actor change a nation?'

Time magazine chose to feature Aamir Khan on its cover page after the huge success of his TV show 'Satyamev Jayate', which focused on the burning issues facing India and the ways of tackling them. Though the show consisted of just 13 episodes, it has colossal impact and garnered overwhelming TRPs.

Parveen Babi was the first Bollywood actress to feature on the Time cover in July 1976 and then Aishwarya Rai Bachchan graced the cover page in 2003.

The last Indian to make the cover of famous Time Magazine was Sachin Tendulkar . Other Indians featured on this popular magazine include Mahatma Gandhi, Indira Gandhi, Rajiv Gandhi, Sania Mirza , and Narendra Modi. It is interesting to note that Mahatma Gandhi was featured thrice on the magazine.
